The much-awaited Renault Duster made its comeback in the Indian market in March 2026, launching at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Going up against the popular Hyundai Creta in the mid-size SUV segment, the Duster brings a fresh set of features to the table. While both vehicles have their own strengths, here are three areas where the Renault Duster holds a clear edge over the Hyundai Creta.

Built-in Google Maps
The new Duster comes equipped with native Google integration, bringing seamless Google Maps, Google Assistant, connected services, and over-the-air updates right into the infotainment system. For drivers who frequently navigate busy city roads or unfamiliar highways, this makes the experience noticeably more convenient and future-ready. The Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, does not offer this feature and relies on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for navigation needs.
Wireless Android Auto And Apple CarPlay In Top Variants
The Renault Duster offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay starting from the Evolution variant, which sits just above the base Authentic trim. This means buyers don't have to stretch too far up the variant ladder to enjoy a clutter-free, cable-free experience. The Hyundai Creta does offer wireless connectivity, but interestingly, it is available from the second base EX variant and is absent in certain top-spec trims, where users may need to rely on a wired-to-wireless adapter instead.

Strong Hybrid Powertrain
Perhaps the most significant advantage the Duster holds is its 1.8-litre strong hybrid E-Tech engine, which produces a healthy 160 hp and 172 Nm of torque. This powertrain brings improved fuel efficiency and a more refined driving experience to the segment. Prospective buyers will need to wait a little longer, as the hybrid variant is expected to arrive around the 2026 Diwali season.
The Hyundai Creta does not offer a strong hybrid option. Its engine lineup includes a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel - all capable in their own right, but without the efficiency benefits of a full hybrid system.
