Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the facelifted Tiago EV in India. The company had already rolled out updates for both the petrol-powered and electric versions of the Tiago last year, but new developments suggest that further changes are on the horizon. Recent appearances of a camouflaged test mule strongly indicate that Tata is preparing another round of upgrades for the hatchback.
Tata Tiago EV: Exterior Changes
Spy shots reveal that the upcoming Tiago EV will undergo a more comprehensive redesign than expected. Even though the prototype remains partially camouflaged, several visible cues point toward a major styling overhaul. The cabin is also likely to receive upgrades aimed at making it more premium.

At the front, the car appears to feature new LED headlamp units paired with slim LED DRLs. The nose section looks reshaped, hinting at a revised upper panel and a more sculpted bumper. Side mirrors seem larger, which could suggest integration of surround-view camera systems.
The wheels are fully covered, possibly hiding new aero-style alloys. Another notable detail is the raised roof section, which hints at a factory-fitted electric sunroof. The rear is also expected to see changes, with redesigned tail lamps and a new bumper layout.

A fresh lower grille with horizontal slats is visible, while both bumpers are likely to be reworked. Fog lamp positioning has been altered, and the ORVMs show signs of housing 360-degree cameras. Tata had already introduced a major update for the Tiago range in 2025, which included new LED headlights, a redesigned grille, EV badging, and fresh colour options.
Tata Tiago EV: Interior Updates
Inside, Tata is expected to improve material quality and finishes. Features such as wireless charging and expanded connected car functions could be added. The infotainment system may grow in size, complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster. A redesigned steering wheel, similar to Tata's latest models, is also anticipated.

The 2025 update had already brought in a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, illuminated steering wheel logo, upgraded instrument cluster, and HD rear-view camera with guidelines. Safety equipment was also enhanced. It remains to be seen what new features Tata will introduce this time.
Tata Tiago EV: Powertrain Expected
Mechanical changes are still speculative. The current Tiago EV is offered with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs, delivering real-world ranges of 168 km and 205 km. It is expected that Tata may add the 30 kWh battery from the Punch EV, which offers over 265 km of real-world range.
