Tata launched the facelift version of the Altroz hatchback recently, at a starting price tag of Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). With the update, Altroz got a refreshed look along with new features on the palette. Now, the hatchback has garnered a milestone by securing a 5-star safety rating at the Bharat NCAP test bed.
The Bharat NCAP website reflects that the Tata Altroz secured 29.65 points out of 32 points in the Adult Occupant Protection. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the hot hatch scored 15.55 points out of 16, reflecting good protection to the driver's and passenger's chest and femur. Also, in the side movable deformable barrier test, the Tata Altroz scored 14.11 points out of 16.

In the Child Occupant Protection test, the Tata Altroz secured 44.90 points out of 49. The test dummies of an 18-month-old and a three-year-old child showed full protection when placed in rearward-facing seats using ISOFIX anchorages with support legs. It achieved a dynamic score of 23.90/24, 9 points in the vehicle assessment score, and the CRS installation score of 12/12.
According to Bharat NCAP, the crash test result of the Tata Altroz is applicable to all the variants, namely- Smart, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S, Accomplished S, and the top-end Accomplished+ S.
Tata Altroz Side Pole Impact
The Tata Altroz comes with an extensive list of safety features like six airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
The Altroz is offered with three powertrain options: a 1.2L Revotron petrol engine, a 1.2L iCNG engine, and a 1.5L Revotorq diesel engine. It is available at a starting price of Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
