The upcoming Suzuki GSX-8T and the GSX-8TT motorcycles could be revealed at EICMA 2025

Documents filed with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) reveal that Suzuki could launch two new middleweight touring motorcycles based on its current GSX-8R, which are named GSX-8T and the GSX-8TT. Both motorcycles will get the same 776 cc parallel-twin engine which 81 hp at 8,500 rpm along with peak torque output of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. Both motorcycles, the GSX-8T and the GSX-8TT are likely to be road-biased sport-touring motorcycles, which rival the likes of the Triumph Tiger Sport 800, BMW F 900 XR and the Yamaha Tracer 7.

The two motorcycles are likely to run on 17-inch alloys at either ends and offer comfortable, upright ergonomics, tall windscreen and a slew of Suzuki's electronic rider aids, similar to the ones found on the GSX-8R, GSX-8S and the V-Strom 800 DE. The GSX-8R in itself is a decently sporty touring machine, but it does get committed ergonomics. While there's no other mention of features or specifications in the CARB filings, but we believe that the GSX-8T will be the standard model, while the 'TT' model is likely to get added features such as luggage options, taller windscreen, or more electronics suited to long distance riding.

As far as the design is concerned, there is a good chance that the look and feel of the motorcycle will take inspiration from the Suzuki GSX-8R, albeit the 'T' and 'TT' models will be a bit taller. We expect the motorcycles to have at least a half-fairing and tall suspension as well, with extra travel. It is too early to talk about pricing but expect Suzuki to take the wraps off the motorcycles at EICMA 2025.
