Skoda Auto India recently launched its performance sedan, the Octavia RS, in India, at a price tag of Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the Skoda Octavia RS sold via the CBU route arrived in India with just 100 units and was sold out within days. Now, the brand is planning to bring the second batch of the performance sedan by early 2026.
Beneath the hood, the Skoda Octavia RS packs a punch with its 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, delivering an impressive 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. This powerhouse is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, enabling the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds. Its top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h, underscoring its performance-focused DNA.
The all-new Skoda Octavia RS carries forward the brand's assertive design DNA, highlighted by sleek full LED Matrix headlamps, dynamic LED tail lamps, and glossy black accents that amplify its sporty character. It rides on bold 19-inch Elias anthracite alloy wheels wrapped in 225/40 R19 low-profile tyres, giving it a planted and aggressive road presence.
Dimensionally, the Octavia RS measures 4,709 mm in length, 1,829 mm in width, and 1,457 mm in height, with a 2,677 mm wheelbase. It also boasts a class-leading 600-litre boot, expandable to a massive 1,555 litres with the rear seats folded, offering a strong blend of style and practicality. The dynamic silhouette is available in five eye-catching shades: Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red.
The Octavia RS is equipped with Skoda's latest ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Assist, and Intelligent Park Assist. Safety is further enhanced with 10 airbags, a 360-degree Area View camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a Head-Up Display, and driving stability systems. The car also features the premium Canton 675W 11-speaker sound system with subwoofer, along with an electrically operated boot with virtual pedal, and a bunch of Simply Clever features, among others.
