Royal Enfield has expanded its 650 cc lineup with the launch of the Bullet 650 in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 3.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike was first showcased at the EICMA 2025 and now joins models like the Continental GT 650, Interceptor 650, Bear 650, Super Meteor, and others in the manufacturer's lineup. The addition is significant because the Bullet nameplate has been in production since 1932 and continues to enjoy a cult status in the market.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650: Design

The Bullet 650 shares some design elements with the Bullet 350 and Classic 650 Twin, already on sale in the Indian market. To begin with, the motorcycle gets a similar signature chrome headlight, hood, and taillight with a similar appearance. Additionally, it gets the iconic hand-painted pinstripes on the fuel tank along with the metallic badge. The fenders look more square compared to the ones offered on the Classic 650.

Talking of differences, the ergonomics of the motorcycle seem more practical. Unlike the Classic 650, the bike gets a fixed seat attached to the upper rear suspension, fixed with a single-piece unit. In theory, it should be better for the pillion on the motorcycle. Meanwhile, the digital-analog instrument cluster, and the small digital display for the fuel gauge, along with the odometer, are the same as the Classic 650.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650: Engine

At the heart of the Bullet 650 sits Royal Enfield's well-known 647.95 cc parallel-twin engine, which is also featured in six other models like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. This air-oil cooled engine delivers 47 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm, coupled with a 6-speed transmission. This makes the Bullet 650 the most powerful version of the Bullet ever produced. Furthermore, it is also expected to give the rider a more compatible engine for touring.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650: Hardware

The Bullet 650 features a frame made of steel tubing and is mounted on 43 mm telescopic forks in the front, alongside twin shock absorbers in the rear. Maintaining the iconic presence linked with the Bullet, the motorcycle comes with a combination of a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel.

Braking performance is provided by a 320 mm disc at the front and a 300 mm disc at the rear, both of which are complemented by standard dual-channel ABS. The seat is positioned at a height of 800mm, while the kerb weight is 243kg. Additionally, Royal Enfield has fitted the motorcycle with a 14.8-litre fuel tank, further enhancing its suitability for long-distance touring.
