Renault India Witnesses 31 Pc YoY Sales Growth In February 2026; Check Details

Renault India sold 3,495 units in February 2026, up 31% YoY, driven by strong demand for refreshed Kiger and Triber models.

Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Renault Group, continued its growth momentum with 3,495 units wholesale in February 2026. This marks a sharp 31% year-on-year (YoY) rise compared to 2,676 units sold in the corresponding month of the previous year. In the first two months of 2026 the company has sustained its positive trajectory, registering a solid 32% cumulative growth over the corresponding period of the previous year.

Building on January's trend, Renault India once again outpaced industry growth for the month. Strong demand for the new Kiger and Triber models continued to fuel growth with the new Triber leading the charge, delivering an impressive 57% YoY increase in February.

Driven by the refreshed Kiger and Triber line up, Renault India has witnessed a positive turnaround in brand favourability, resulting in continuous growth since Q3 CY2025. During this period, the company achieved YoY growth of 9% in Q3 CY25, 27% in Q4 CY25 and 32% in the 1st two months of 2026. The recent announcement of the Renault Duster's return to India has further strengthened consumer sentiment, reflected in increased dealership footfalls.

The brand might see a strong demand in the domestic market soon after the launch of the Renault Duster. While the prices of the Duster has not been announced yet, the brand has revealed the design and specification of the SUV. The Renault Duster will be offered with multiple engine choices to cater to varied buyers. Leading the range is a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid (E-Tech 160) paired with two electric motors, producing 160 bhp and 172 Nm. A 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (Turbo TCe 160) delivers 163 bhp and 280 Nm, available with both manual and dual-clutch gearboxes. Buyers can also opt for a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (TCe 100) producing 100 bhp and 160 Nm, offered only with a six-speed manual.

Renault Duster

Pre-bookings are already open at Rs 21,000, with official prices to be revealed in mid-March. Deliveries for turbo-petrol versions will begin soon after launch, while hybrid variants are expected closer to Diwali 2026. With this relaunch, Renault hopes the Duster will once again become a strong contender in India's SUV market.
