Nurburgring is one of the most famous racing circuits in the world, dedicated to a variety of motorsports formats, including F1, Touring Car Championship, and more. Also, the track proves to be an ideal ground for car makers to test the speed record. However, this time the historic race track is in the news as it witnessed a fiery crash between a Porsche GT3 RS and a BMW M2.

The crash occurred while the Touristenfahrten was in session and was in action on July 5, 2025. The accident has been captured from various angles by cameras, one of them being from the Porsche's dashboard. The video footages show that the cars were pushing the limit on a soft curve when the BMW M2, slightly behind, lost reaction, took a wider line, but ended up colliding with the GT3 RS, pushing it to hit the barrier. Soon after the cars hit the barrier, the Porsche burst into flames. While reports and videos suggest that both drivers are safe, it is their cars suffering maximum damage.

While the Porsche GT3 RS suffered full damage as it turned into a fireball, the BMW M2 suffered maximum damage, resulting in a torn front. The footage is not clean enough to show who was actually at fault; however, the keyboard warriors have taken the matter into their own hands and are divided into the Porsche party and BMW union to blame each other.
