The brand has revealed that 33 per cent of the total consumers who pre-booking the Duster are younger consumers aged below 32. The brand also claimed that 39 per cent of buyers in metro cities chose the hybrid variant which is now sold out.

Renault is offering the Duster with all the engine options for every trim level. Specifically, the Turbo TCe 160 engine is available on all trims except the Authentic trim. Meanwhile, the  Turbo TCe 100 is available on Authentic, Evolution and Techno trims.

The brand has revived Gangs of Duster, a community for Duster drivers with weekend drives, meet ups, and regional drives.

The Renault Duster will be sold at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with the R-Pass the SUV will be priced at Rs 10.29 lakh (pre-bookings). Meanwhile, the most expensive variant comes at Rs 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Five Trims available: Authentico, Evolution, Techno/Techno+, and Iconic. Most of the trims will get turbo petrol engine.

With the Renault Duster, the brand will now offer a subscription program for the SUV. The program will be available from April 1. It will require no down payment, is inclusive of all on-road and service, multiple tenure and mileage choices will be offered with option to extend and return or buy.

The brand has revealed that all the production units of the hybrid variants are already sold out in the country. More details on the production will be announced when the deliveries begin in Diwali.

Most of the bookings for the Duster are for the 160 hp turbo petrol engine. The demand for the hybrid engine represents 40 per cent of the total demand for the SUV in the metro cities.

The brand is introducing a 7-year warranty with the Renault Duster in the Indian market. With this move, the brand aims to build a long-term relationship with the consumers. The warranty will increase every year, and it will be transferable when the car is sold. It will increase the resale value of the car.

The latest Renault Duster measures 4,343mm in length, making it shorter than competitors like the Kia Seltos by 117mm, the Hyryder by 23mm, and the Victoris by 17mm. However, it is 13mm longer than the segment leader, the Hyundai Creta. In terms of width, the Duster is 23mm wider than the Creta and 18mm wider than its rivals from Maruti and Toyota. Notably, the Tata Sierra is the widest and tallest vehicle in this group, exceeding the Duster's width by 28mm.

A 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine (Turbo TCe 160) is also available, delivering 160 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, and can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The entry-level variant features a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque, which is offered solely with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Renault Duster 2026 will provide a variety of powertrain choices. The highest model comes equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder direct-injection petrol engine, alongside two electric motors to form the E-Tech 160 hybrid configuration, producing 160 bhp and 172 Nm of torque.

One of the strengths of the Duster against its competition lies in its strong-hybrid powertrain version, which combines a 1.8-litre strong-hybrid engine with an electric motor to put out 160 hp of power. The Renault Duster will be available in six colour options including Sunset Red, River Blue, Pearl White, Stealth Black, Moonlight Silver, and Jade Mountain Green.

From the side view, it is equipped with 18-inch black alloy wheels, rear door handles mounted on the C-pillar, and body cladding around the wheel arches and at the lower edges of the doors. At the back, it features triangular LED taillights linked by a light bar that has a Renault badge in the centre, along with a black bumper contrasted by a silver trim.

In comparison to the international model, the Renault Duster in India features a slightly altered design. It includes new LED headlights accompanied by eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights and a glossy black grille displaying ‘Duster’ instead of the Renault emblem. The bumper showcases large air intakes and fog lights positioned on its black lower section. A silver trim on the bumper adds a touch of flair to the front appearance.

Competing in the mid-size SUV segment, the SUV stands at 4,343mm in length, 1,813mm in width, 1,659mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,657mm. Meanwhile, the ground clearance is 212mm.

The new Renault Duster is based on the CMFB platform in the international model. However, the India-spec version is based on the RGMP platform with a new electrical architecture co-developed with Google.
