Maruti Suzuki India Limited has already introduced its first electric vehicle for the Indian market, named the e-Vitara. Although the company has not officially announced the price of the SUV, the brand is set to launch the much-anticipated Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara today, revealing the prices. This launch marks a significant milestone for Maruti Suzuki, as the brand steps into the EV segment with its maiden electric SUV offering.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Battery & Powertrain
The e-Vitara will be available with two battery pack options - a 49 kWh unit and a larger 61 kWh unit. The smaller battery will power a single-motor setup driving the front wheels, while the bigger pack will support a dual-motor configuration with all-wheel drive, branded as AllGrip-e. This gives customers the flexibility to choose between efficiency and performance, with the larger battery expected to be the premium option. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara's ARAI-rated range is up to 543 km.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Exterior & Design
On the outside, the e-Vitara blends familiar SUV styling with modern EV-specific touches. Key highlights include three-point matrix LED DRLs integrated with the headlights, piano-black finished bumpers, and 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels with a blacked-out look. At the rear, sculpted three-point matrix LED tail lamps and a bold 3D profile complete the design, keeping it close to the ICE-powered Vitara while adding futuristic elements.
