Maruti Suzuki's Creta rival coming on Sept 3

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to roll out its new midsize SUV in the Indian market. The Indian car maker has shared a teaser image of the SUV, giving a glimpse of its taillight design. The brand is set to launch this new Hyundai Creta Rivalling SUV on 3rd September 2025. However, the exact name of the upcoming SUV has not been revealed yet. While most of the details about the SUV are still unknown, here's what we know so far about the new Maruti Suzuki SUV.

The recently shared teaser image gives us a hint about the taillight design of the Maruti Suzuki SUV. The teaser shows the SUV's LED tail lamps, which include a three-dimensional design, a central brake lamp, and turn indicators. The taillight seems to carry a 'boomerang' design, with sharp cues.

Maruti Suzuki will retail this new SUV through its Arena chain of dealerships. In terms of placement, it will sit between the Brezza and Grand Vitara. Also, expect the Creta rival to get slightly bigger seats than the Grand Vitara, along with more space on the inside. Rumors say that it could sport a 3-row seating layout too.

On the powertrain front, it is likely to be powered by the 1.5-litre K15 motor. The naturally-aspirated petrol powerplant is expected to get a CNG option as well. The engine could be retuned, but the output figures will remain unchanged at 100 hp and 88 hp, in petrol and CNG guise, respectively.

Talking about the features, this new Maruti Suzuki is expected to be equipped with features like ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, an all-digital instrument cluster, and more. However, we'll have to be patient till the time Maruti Suzuki officially confirms the details.

Looking out in the market, the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki midsize SUV will be the brand's answer to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Curvv, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and more.
