A Maruti 800 morphed to look like a Lamborghini has caught the internet's attention. This is the work of a mechanic from Jharkhand who has modified the small Indian hatchback to imitate the Italian sports car worth multiple crores. Now the video shared by its creator on social media has gone viral and has become a topic of discussion among social media users.
Created by a mechanic named Arif, the car was reportedly made with an investment of Rs 4 lakh. Which is a fraction of what a real Lamborghini costs. To build the car, the mechanic did not use body kits; instead, he hand-crafted most of the parts by cutting, welding and shaping them to create the appearance of a Lamborghini Huracan.

Since the Maruti 800 used as a base does not have a low-riding stance, the creator made changes to the structure to bring it closer to the ground. Talking of changes, the wheel arches seem to have been flared to create a wider look. Reports suggest that he used a fibreglass body to get the sharp appearance of the wedge-shaped iconic car.

Adding more drama to the model, he added a large rear wing, front splitters and 16-inch wheels, replacing the stock 12-inch units. To go with these changes, the car has LED headlamps with bright green paint imitating Lamborghini's Verde Mantis paint.
Additionally, the cabin of the car has been heavily modified to have a two-seat configuration. Adding his own touch, the mechanic has added a sunroof to the car, something neither of the cars has in their stock form.
While a Lamborghini Huracan is easily recognisable because of the roar of a naturally aspirated V10 engine, the car in the viral video has Maruti's engine. It functions using the same 796 cc three-cylinder petrol engine, which produces around 40 hp of power and 59 Nm of torque at the peak of its performance.
The video shared on social media has accumulated over 1.1 million views on X and is flooded with comments and likes from users.
