Mahindra & Mahindra has been consistently teasing its upcoming, born electric SUV, the XEV 9S. The automaker has been revealing glimpses of the seven-seater electric SUV bit by bit, building anticipation among the audience. Going ahead with the series, the automaker has teased a few features of the upcoming model. Specifically, it has confirmed a few more features from the cabin of the vehicle following the confirmation of the presence of a three-screen setup on the dashboard.
To begin with, the Mahindra XEV 9S will come with a dark interior. To add a premium touch, the seat gets stitching on the sides and a silver plate, with the area coinciding with the shoulder blade of the occupant. Furthermore, it will be equipped with a premium Harman Kardon sound system, which will likely support Dolby Atmos. This setup has been previously employed on the BE6 and the XEV 9e.

The teaser also reveals soft-touch materials on various parts and the button layout. Furthermore, it gives a hint at the presence of memory function seats and an electronic parking brake. Meanwhile, the seating layout remains hidden in the shadows. Although we can expect the SUV to have a 2-3-2 layout.
The electric SUV is also expected to have features like ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and remote parking functionality. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ADAS Level 2 capabilities, and a powered tailgate for added convenience.
The Mahindra XEV 9S will likely have similar specifications to the XEV 9e, which is currently available in the market. It is likely to feature a 79 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 656 km on a single charge. The XEV 9e, on the other hand, comes with a 59 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of 542 km on one charge.
