Kawasaki has announced a discount on its litre-class supersport, the Ninja ZX-10R, making the motorcycle significantly more accessible for enthusiasts in India. The company revealed through its official channels that the bike will be available with a discount of Rs 2.89 lakh, valid until 31 March 2026. With this offer, the ZX-10R's ex-showroom price drops from Rs 20.79 lakh to Rs 17.90 lakh, positioning it as one of the most competitively priced superbikes in its category.

The ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that produces 205 hp and 112 Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slip-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter, ensuring smoother gear transitions both on track and on the road. The performance credentials make it a formidable option against rivals, while the discount further strengthens its value proposition.

In terms of equipment, the motorcycle comes loaded with rider-focused technology. A TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, multiple riding modes, dual-channel ABS, cruise control, launch control, traction control, and engine brake control are all part of the package. These features underline Kawasaki's intent to blend performance with everyday usability.

The chassis is a tubular diamond frame, suspended by Showa BFF front forks and a Showa BFRC rear monoshock with piggyback reservoir. Both ends offer adjustability for compression, rebound, and preload, allowing riders to fine-tune the setup. Braking duties are handled by dual 330 mm front discs and a single 220 mm rear disc, complemented by an Ohlins electronic steering damper for added stability at high speeds.

When compared to its closest competitor, the BMW S 1000 RR, which starts at Rs 23.25 lakh, the ZX-10R undercuts it by Rs 5.35 lakh. This makes Kawasaki's flagship supersport the most affordable litre-class option currently available in India. With the limited-time discount, the ZX-10R becomes an even more compelling choice for riders seeking world-class performance without stretching their budget.
