Honda's first-ever sports electric motorcycle, the WN7, has been patented in India, initiating speculation about its possible entry into the Indian market. The 2026 Honda WN7 is built as the production-ready version of the Honda EV Fun concept unveiled in November 2024 and has already received recognition for its design.

The patented design shows a sharp, futuristic naked-style silhouette with a minimalist, almost robotic front fascia. A single-piece cover flows over the frame and battery, creating a sculpted fuel tank like section along with a wide LED DRL and vertically stacked headlamps. The bike carries a wide handlebar, bar end circular mirrors, a single-piece seat, and a monocoque style subframe, giving it a clean, uncluttered look at the rear. A single-sided swingarm on the right side houses the mid-motor drive and rear disc brake, contributing to a tidy visual profile.

Honda WN7: Performance, Charging
The Honda WN7 is powered by a single electric motor with a peak output of 50.4 kW (about 67.5 bhp) and 100 Nm torque, tuned to match the performance character of a 600 cc sports motorcycle.

The bike uses a 9.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, with Honda quoting a range of 130 km on a single charge, depending on riding style and test conditions. The bike supports CCS2-based fast charging, which can take the battery from 20 per cent to 80 per cent state of charge in under 30 minutes, alongside normal AC charging for overnight top ups. With all of it, the bike has a weight of 217 kg.

Honda WN7: India Launch
In the UK, the Honda WN7 was introduced with a starting price of GBP 12,999 (around Rs 16.74 lakh). The launch of the Honda WN7 in India seems unlikely, in contrast to the Honda Airblade, which was similarly patented in India and has a higher likelihood of being launched here.
