The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to increase the FASTag annual fees starting from April 1, 2026. The annual prepaid toll plan was introduced last year at Rs 3,000, covering up to 1 year of travel or 200 toll crossings across the nation, whichever comes first. Now, the government is set to increase the prices of the pass by Rs 75. This will result in an annual fee of Rs 3,075.
New FASTag Annual Pass Fees
Based on the announcement made by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), the upward revision in the fees has been made in accordance with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. This comes at a time when the adoption of the annual pass has been increasing among FASTag users, with over 56 lakh subscribers. The new rates will be applicable for non-commercial vehicles valid across 1,150 fee plazas on Highways and Expressways.

FASTag Annual Pass Benefits
The FASTag annual pass was launched in August of last year and aims to eliminate the need for frequent FASTag top-ups for regular travellers. This initiative offers a prepaid, one-time payment solution for private, non-commercial vehicles such as cars, jeeps, or vans. After recharging the annual pass, travellers can enjoy cashless transactions at NHAI toll plazas.

The annual pass is especially beneficial for travellers between cities, such as NCR commuters, and for individuals who frequently return to their hometowns.
How To Buy FASTag Annual Pass
- Visit the MoRTH/NHAI Website, or you can install the Rajmarg Yatra app on your smartphone
- Enter your car details
- Type in your FASTag ID. The FASTag needs to be active, correctly installed, and linked to the vehicle
- Pay the annual fees via the preferred mode of transaction, which includes net banking, UPI, and debit or credit card
- Following the completion of the transaction, the pass will be attached to the existing FASTag ID, and a confirmation will be shared on the registered mobile number via SMS
