Citroen India has revised the prices of its lineup in the Indian market, impacting the Basalt, Aircross, and C3 hatchback. The company has implemented a price hike of up to Rs 20,000 across select models, effective immediately. Apart from the revised prices, no other mechanical or feature changes have been made to these vehicles.

The newly introduced Basalt coupe-SUV sees a uniform price increase of Rs 20,000 across all its variants. With the changes in place, the car now starts at Rs 8.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the top-spec Max trim now comes with a 360-degree camera accessory, offered as a paid add-on. The installation will be carried out at Citroen dealerships.

The Basalt is one of the few budget coupe-SUVs in the Indian market and is powered by two petrol engine choices, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit producing 82 hp of power and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol option giving out 110 hp of power. Both come with manual gearboxes, while the turbo variant can also be paired with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic.

The C3 Aircross SUV has also seen a similar price adjustment. All trims, except the recently launched Max Turbo 5-seater version, are now dearer by Rs 20,000. With this, the range now starts at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The higher-spec 7-seater Max Turbo trim receives a standard price hike, along with the addition of the 360-degree camera accessory, which will be installed at the dealership level.

Without any changes, it continues to be powered by the same set of 1.2-litre petrol engines as the Basalt, the 82hp naturally aspirated and the 110hp turbocharged units.

In the hatchback segment, Citroen has revised prices for the C3 by up to Rs 15,000. This results in a starting price of Rs 4.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The addition of a 360-degree camera accessory applies to the top-end Shine variants, again fitted at the dealership.

If the cost of the camera is excluded, the effective hike stands at Rs15,000. Meanwhile, the recently introduced Live (O) variant remains unaffected by the update. The C3 also shares its powertrain options with the Basalt and Aircross.

With these changes, Citroen aims to align its pricing structure with overall market adjustments and increased input costs. The brand's India lineup now maintains its focus on offering multiple body styles and engine choices while expanding its presence in the compact and midsize SUV space.
