Tata Sierra

The ICE model is scheduled to be available for purchase starting November 25. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the highly anticipated eVitara electric SUV on December 2. Built on the Heartect-e skateboard platform, it will come with two battery options of 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The single motor configuration on the 49 kWh variant is likely to produce 144hp and 193 Nm, whereas the 61 kWh variant is expected to deliver 174 hp and 193 Nm. The manufacturer may also introduce a dual-motor AWD version with 184 hp to the Indian market. Upon its release, the eVitara will compete with the Creta EV.

Mahindra XEV 9s

Mahindra is all set to introduce its first seven-seater electric SUV in the Indian market. With a modern design, the electric SUV will get a tech-laden cabin consisting of a three-screen setup, and many more modern features borrowed from the born electric SUVs of the brand. It will be based on the INGLO platform and is expected to carry the same powertrain options as the XEV 9e already on sale in the country.

Tata Harrier, Safari Petrol

The Harrier and Safari are currently offered with only a 2.0-litre diesel engine. However, Tata Motors plans to introduce a new turbocharged petrol engine on December 9. This addition is expected to lower its prices, which may lead to intense competition between the lower variants of the SUV with other rivals. This engine is expected to be a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit.
