Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift in India on June 15, 2026. The updated luxury sedan was revealed globally earlier this year and now arrives with several design tweaks, more technology, and, most importantly, a plug-in hybrid powertrain option for the Indian market. The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S Class facelift continues to remain the flagship sedan from the German luxury carmaker and is expected to be priced above Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom).
2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Design Updates
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S Class facelift gets subtle but noticeable cosmetic changes. Up front, the luxury sedan now features a revised grille with integrated three-pointed star detailing, along with updated LED headlamps featuring Mercedes' signature star-shaped daytime running lights.
The front bumper has also been redesigned with additional chrome elements to give the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift a more premium road presence. At the rear, the tail lamps now feature new star-inspired lighting graphics similar to the latest E-Class. Overall, the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S Class facelift retains its elegant limousine look while adding a fresher and more modern appearance.

2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Cabin And Features
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift gets major tech upgrades. The biggest highlight is Mercedes' new Superscreen setup, which includes a large 14.4-inch central touchscreen along with two 12.3-inch displays for the co-driver and instrument cluster.
The system runs the latest MB.OS software supports AI-powered functions, Google-based navigation, over-the-air updates, and an improved voice assistant. The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S Class facelift also continues to offer luxury-focused features like powered rear seats, rear-seat entertainment screens, ambient lighting, powered sunshades, and multi-zone climate control. Mercedes has also added electrically adjustable AC vents and a dashboard-mounted camera with facial recognition and video calling support.

2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Engine Options
One of the biggest updates for the Indian market is the introduction of a plug-in hybrid variant in the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift lineup. Globally, the S 450e version combines a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol six-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a battery pack. The setup produces 435 bhp and 680 Nm of torque. Mercedes claims the plug-in hybrid sedan can offer up to 100 km of pure electric driving range under ideal conditions.
Apart from the hybrid model, the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift is also expected to continue with petrol and diesel engine options in India.
