The 2026 Kia Seltos was launched in India on 2 January 2025, with prices starting at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV has begun arriving at dealerships, allowing buyers to explore it firsthand. Offered in 10 variants, the lineup includes the second-base HTE (O) trim, showcased in detail through a video by Nishhh Reviews on YouTube.

A video walkaround of the Kia Seltos HTE (O) variant has surfaced on YouTube, courtesy of Nishit Dudhahii. In the clip, the vlogger begins by clarifying that this is the second-base trim in the Seltos lineup. Prices for the HTE (O) start at Rs 12.09 lakh and extend up to Rs 14.99 lakh, depending on the engine and gearbox combination chosen.

Kia offers this variant with two familiar powertrains: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. The petrol unit produces 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. Buyers can opt for a 6-speed manual at Rs 12.09 lakh, an iMT at Rs 12.89 lakh, or the IVT (CVT) at Rs 13.39 lakh. The diesel options push the price higher, topping out at Rs 14.99 lakh.

The video then shifts focus to the SUV's exterior. Despite being near the base of the range, the HTE (O) surprises with LED headlamps and striking C-shaped thunderbolt-style DRLs. An automatic headlamp function is also included, a rare touch for entry-level trims. The front fascia is dominated by a new matte black grille, wider than before, paired with a redesigned bumper featuring a silver skid plate. Fog lamps are absent, but the bonnet impresses with hydraulic struts - another feature that's becoming uncommon.

Moving to the side profile, we see fresh flush-type door handles and note that the SUV's proportions have grown longer. Wheels remain steel, sized at 16 inches, but they come with styled covers that lend a futuristic vibe. At the rear, extended LED taillamps inspired by the Kia Telluride and Carens Clavis add a premium touch. Practical elements like a rear-view camera and parking sensors are also standard from this trim onwards.

Inside, the cabin makes a strong impression. At first glance, it hardly feels like a second-base variant. The highlight is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a digital instrument cluster of the same size. Other equipment includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and steering-mounted buttons for convenience. The steering wheel itself has been redesigned, while the dashboard layout feels fresh and modern. Upholstery is finished in leatherette, and the overall fit and finish reflect Kia's attention to detail.
