The TVS Apache RTR 310 was always a fun to ride motorcycle that offered decent performance along with exceptional streetfighter design. But the motorcycle had its share of flaws like a not so refined motor, snatchy response from the throttle and variants priced too high. For 2025, TVS made few improvements to the design, engine and the electronics. So, we had the opportunity to ride the motorcycle at the CoASTT test track in Coimbatore and sampled the updates, which make for a better riding experience.

2025 TVS Apache RTR 310: Performance

This is where things get interesting! Now, there is no bump in power but the way it is delivered, changes. The throttle response becomes smoother now, thanks to the recalibrated engine and a plethora of tech like smart torque filter and drag torque control that makes for smoother power delivery and working in conjunction with the slip and assist clutch that stops the wheel from hopping when down-shifting aggressively. The build-up is smooth and thanks to a revised sprocket, with a reduction of 4 teeth, the motorcycle accelerates quickly when given the beans. Earlier, the engine didn't have a very smooth feel to it, but now the motor feels a touch more refined. The vibrations are now better controlled and do not overwhelm your riding experience, like before.

2025 TVS Apache RTR 310: Ride & Handling

The Apache RTR 310 continues to be a sharp handler and is easy to filter through traffic. Yes, we did ride the motorcycle for a bit in the city and on B-roads, but it was a rushed thing. On the track, it does tip in nicely into the corners, but is let down by poor cornering clearance. Now most riders will not be riding the motorcycle to put their knees down on a regular basis, but still, if you do encounter a stretch of switchback with smooth tarmac, chances are you will scrape your feeler bolts more regularly than you would expect. The ride is stiff but not uncomfortable. In fact, we did most of our riding on a wet track and the Michelin Road 5 tyres offered solid grip, better than we expected. Now, the cycle parts largely stay the same, so there isn't a world of a difference in terms of riding dynamics over the older model.

2025 TVS Apache RTR 310: Verdict

The 2025 TVS Apache RTR 310 gets a fair few updates and makes for a good purchase in the 300 cc segment. Sure, it still has a few flaws but lesser than before. The pricing ranges from Rs. 2.40 lakh for the base variant, going all the way up to Rs. 2.85 lakh for the top-spec BTO 2 variant. You can add Rs. 15,000 more if you want the Sepang Blue colour on your motorcycle and Rs. 5,000 if you want the Fiery Red colour. If you want to add both BTO kits, then the price goes up to Rs. 3.03 lakh. The base and top variants offer good value for money, but the BTO kits coupled with the extra price for the two colours, make it more expensive than the KTM 390 Duke.

It was always a good-looking motorcycle with aggressive design and the shortcomings have been addressed to large extent but the pricing of the BTO models make it a little far from reach for enthusiasts who want a performance-oriented streetfighter. With options like the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, even the Scrambler 400 X for that matter, it becomes a little difficult to justify the pricing for the top variants of the Apache RTR 310.
