Ducati has introduced the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak for the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 36.17 (ex-showroom). This is a more performance-oriented version of the Multistrada V4 and comes with a premium of Rs 5 lakh over the standard version. For the price, it offers higher-spec components and more committed ergonomics for the sport touring machine.
The performance of the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak comes from a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, which is the same as the standard version of the bike. This unit is tuned to produce 170 hp of power at 10,750 rpm and 123 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. It comes with an advanced cylinder deactivation system, which was introduced in the updated Multistrada V4. It deactivates the rear cylinder at slow speeds.

The Pikes Peak features a Race mode that optimizes throttle response while reducing intervention from rider aids such as traction control and wheelie control systems. It comes equipped with a titanium Akrapovic exhaust as standard. It also gets Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension, which is also found on the Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S, automatically adapting to the rider's style and providing various damping settings for each suspension mode.
In contrast to the standard Multistrada V4, which utilizes a 19-inch front wheel, the Pikes Peak is fitted with a 17-inch front wheel. The motorcycle features lightweight forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak incorporates a single-sided swingarm, unlike the V4 and V4 S, giving it a sportier and unique look. Its braking system consists of 330 mm front discs with Brembo Stylema calipers and a 280 mm rear disc.
Ducati has implemented important modifications to the chassis geometry to facilitate sportier riding dynamics. The steering head angle is set at 25.75 degrees, up from 24.5 degrees on the standard V4, and the riding posture has been adjusted to be more aggressive, with the foot pegs placed higher and further back. At the same time, the handlebars are narrower and positioned lower.
The extensive electronics package from the Multistrada V4 S has been retained, featuring the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system that emulates input from 70 sensors to enhance ABS, wheelie control, and traction control accuracy. Additionally, it includes a radar system equipped with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) capabilities.
