Woman jumps from roof, hits taxi and survives

Buenos Aires: A woman who jumped from the 23rd floor of a Buenos Aires hotel, miraculously survived when she landed on top of a taxi parked in front of the building.

The woman landed in a sitting position on the roof of a taxi whose driver got out just before the impact deeply dented his roof and shattered the windshield.

The taxi driver reportedly looked up accidentally and saw the woman falling and managed to get out just before the driver's side of the car was smashed by the woman's body.

Another taxi driver, Juan Carlos Candame, standing in front of the hotel claimed that he saw the woman jump after what looked like an argument.

"I saw a girl that was going over the (security) fence while another person was talking to her, then she walked to the edge, went back to talk to the other person then she turned around and she jumped," Candame said.

The woman was transported to a Buenos Aires hospital with multiple injuries. Her identity has not been revealed. According to eyewitnesses, she's approximately 30 years old.
