Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned on Tuesday as the state's ruling BJP opted for course-correction a year before polls, amid growing resentment in the ranks. The BJP's legislative party meeting will take place today to elect a successor. The ruling BJP in Haryana is expected to face a no-confidence motion in the assembly today.
