A new drug called Tykerb, which is significantly more effective than current medicines in fighting advanced stage of breast cancer, has been approved by the US FDA. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women worldwide. According to statistics, about a million new cases are expected to occur this year itself.
