Tata plant: Pressure builds up in Singur

In direct contrast to Saturday's violence, the West Bengal government's operation to fence off land for the Tata Motors factory went on peacefully at Singur on Sunday. But in Kolkata, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee issued a 24-hour ultimatum, saying if the police was not pulled out and fencing not stopped, she will go on an indefinite hunger strike.
