An indefinite curfew was imposed on Tuesday in parts of Jammu city as a "precautionary measure" following violent incidents during protests over the Amarnath land transfer issue. The curfew has been clamped in areas falling under police jurisdiction of Janipur, Bakshi Nagar, Nawabad and Peer Mitha in the city, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police, Jammu-Kathua-Samba range, Farooq Khan said.
