With the birth of baby Nargis in Lucknow today, the world's population touched seven billion. The record population size is a mark of better quality of life. But not everyone has benefitted from this achievement. Developing countries like India face a paradox. While one end of the spectrum boasts of development, prosperity, and improved health indicators the other is marked by poverty, poor health services and unmet needs.
