In one of the worst reported attacks on Dalits, two years ago the entre family of a Dalit farmer was killed in Khairlanji in Maharashtra. They were massacred by an upper caste mob. On Monday a court convicted 8 upper caste men for the multiple murders, but the court added this was not a caste-related murder.
