Caught in the struggle is the re-development of Mumbai's historic Crawford Market, a grade one heritage structure. On one side is the Bombay Municipal corporation's handing over the market's development to a builder, giving him a profit of Rs 1680 crore, and on the other is the heritage conservationists who see it as a violation of heritage rules.
