Palestinians in Gaza City flocked to the beach on Friday to escape the scorching heat of the summer, as the sea became one of the few recreational activities left in the Gaza Strip, battered by more than two years of war. “As you can see, the number of people and crowds coming to the sea, because this is the only getaway and outlet for our people in the Gaza Strip,” said Mahmoud Lafy, from Jabaliya, who was spending some time with friends.
