With just five days to go for the trust vote, the Congress is getting desperate. The party has gone into overdrive to ensure it survives reaching out to the small parties and Independents. The UPA is still short of 12 MPs for a simple majority. It has the assured support of 261 MPs, but the halfway mark is 271.
