Many schools, colleges and offices in Karnataka are closed today due to the 12-hour bandh call given by various Kannada outfits to protest against the Cauvery River Authority (CRA) order directing the state to release water to neighbouring Tamil Nadu. Foreign Minister SM Krishna has also written to the Prime Minister seeking his immediate intervention on the issue.
