Aviation regulator warns cash-strapped airlines

A financial audit by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation reveals how the crisis in the aviation industry may have pushed airlines to cut corners on safety. The audit is damning, more so for the country's second largest private airline - Kingfisher which is neck-deep in losses - and also for Air India Express, a subsidiary of the national carrier.
