Custodians of Rabindra Sangeet say mastering the genre need years of disciplined and academic training; they believe a majority of those experimenting with the genre are cashing in on the brand Tagore, and trying to get cheap and quick popularity. But many artistes disagree, and see it as a way of control over an emotional and creative process.
