With a sharp fall in onion prices in the retail market to Rs 30 per kg, the government has decided to end the subsidised sale of the kitchen staple. After a review meeting, which was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit, the government has decided that the prices of onions are stabilizing. The availability of onions had also picked up after improved supplies.
