Abhinav Goel, senior director, Fitch Ratings, says that while the petrol price hike has provided an immediate relief to oil marketing companies, there are bigger issues such as partial deregulation. He says that even if the price of diesel is increased, these will only be ad hoc and wont reflect policy clarity.
