Corporate Sector, NRIs Helping Build Toilets in Gujarat: Chief Minister Anandiben Patel

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel is doing all she can to lend support to her predecessor Narendra Modi's pet scheme 'Swachh Bharat'. Speaking to Vikram Chandra on Dettol NDTV 'Banega Swachh India' telethon, she said that Clean India is making good progress in Gujarat with corporate sector and NRIs coming forward to help building toilets. Reacting to the statistics that show how many women in our country don't have access to toilets, Ms Anandiben said that she feels the pain of all those women who have had to defecate in the open. She had a word of advice for all parents to marry their daughters into households with toilets and emphasised on the need to create awareness irrespective of age, gender.
