Over 100 people are feared dead and over 350 injured after a fire broke out at the Puttingal temple in Kerala's Kollam early this morning, police said today.
A fire broke out at the Puttingal temple in Kerala's Paruvar in Kollam district early this morning.
The fire, that was caused due to fireworks, also damaged the Puttingal temple's roof.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kerala to take stock of the situation. He was received by Governor of Kerala, Palanisamy Sathasivam.

Indian naval ships Kabra, Kalpeni and Sunayna sailed to Kollam with medical supplies, the official said.
Senior police and district officials have reached the coastal city around 60 km from Thiruvananthapuram.
The fire has been brought under control.

Several injured people have been rushed to hospitals nearby and in Thiruvananthapuram.
