Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says empathy needs to be built into artificial intelligence so that great innovation can empower humans and society. He says while there is an abundance of artificial intelligence in the world, and it is bound to grow, what will be scarce is real intelligence and human qualities like empathy, which can help humans live better lives. NDTV's Uma Sudhir looks at Microsoft's Innovations for India, from using AI as an answer to farmer distress, creating thousands of designs for weavers and handloom industry, to creating distance learning tools and virtual classrooms all products that, Microsoft says, have empathy at their core.
