Labour of love: MP workers revive mill fortunes

For the first time in the country workers of a cotton mill in Sanawad in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh have become masters of their own destiny and have created a history of sorts. The once profit-making Avanti Cotton Mill, established in 1964 with 1400 employees in the cotton belt of Madhya Pradesh, went into the red due to mismanagement and massive corruption in the late nineties.
