On Kolkata alleged gangrape case, Woman activist, Varsha Mishra said, "In Kolkata, a 24-year-old law student has been brutally raped by a man and his accomplices as she refused to marry him...She was beaten for 3 hours, raped and then videotaped. They also threatened her that they would make the video live. I always say women are not safe anywhere...Whether it is doctors or lawyers, a character certificate should be issued to professionals before they are awarded their degree. A team should be constituted in all big institutes for this purpose...The culprits must be hanged for this crime."
