Ali Khamenei Death News | Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who shaped modern Iran’s theocratic system for over three decades, has died at 86. Born in 1939 in Mashhad, Khamenei rose through the ranks of Iran’s clerical establishment and became Supreme Leader in 1989 after the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. He consolidated power over Iran’s military, judiciary, media, and foreign policy, expanded regional influence, and presided over domestic crackdowns on dissent.
