What Mallikarjun Kharge Said On Shashi Tharoor's "Uneven Playing Field" Remark

Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge has dismissed his rival candidate Shashi Tharoor's claim that some leaders were being pushed to back him in the upcoming election to choose the new party chief. "That is very wrong. This is spreading wrong information, creating a misunderstanding," Mr Kharge said. "There are certainly aspects that imply an uneven playing field," Mr Tharoor had said at an NDTV townhall last week, alleging that some leaders had told him they were "under pressure" to back Mr Kharge.
