US stocks rise on China GDP, interest rate expectation

US stocks rose with expectation that interest rates will likely remain low while traders speculated about China's first-quarter GDP reading on Friday. The street China's GDP to exceed expectations at 9 per cent as against the 8.4 per cent expected. Meanwhile, jobless claims cast a cloud.
