The US military has destroyed five Iranian crude oil tankers following what it described as two Iranian ballistic-missile attempts to strike a US warship. US Central Command said the strikes were carried out in response to the attacks. Iranian state television reported that at least three tankers were hit near Jask and Kharg Island, with crews evacuated.
