US-Iran Standoff Intensifies Over Nuclear Sites, Sanctions And War Compensation

Tensions between the United States and Iran continue to escalate as ceasefire negotiations remain deadlocked. Donald Trump reportedly held high-level meetings with national security officials over the weekend and is said to be frustrated with Iran’s diplomatic stance. Washington has proposed conditions including limiting Iran to one operational nuclear site and transferring enriched uranium to the US, while refusing compensation and the release of frozen assets. Tehran has rejected the terms, demanding an end to regional hostilities, removal of sanctions, lifting of the naval blockade and compensation for war-related damages.
