US: Easy guns, easy crime?

Is America trigger happy? Four fatal shootings in the last five weeks across the American landscape are forcing this uncomfortable question. In a country where the right to own firearms is a fundamental one, enshrined in and protected by the constitution, the outcome of easy access to guns is one more wake up call for a country where several attempts over the years to enforce stricter gun control have failed to make a dent in the power of the gun lobby, led by the National Rifle Association.
