Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has strongly rejected Karnataka government's allegations that the Centre is withholding funds from the state. Speaking in Bengaluru, Sitharaman claimed Karnataka is receiving significantly higher financial transfers compared to the UPA era, stating that a single year's allocation is 76% higher than what the state received annually during the previous regime. The Congress-led Karnataka government, however, continues to argue that the state is not getting its fair share despite being a major contributor to India's economy.
