AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has launched a sharp attack on the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC), calling it a violation of constitutional rights and religious freedom. Speaking in Ahmedabad, Owaisi alleged that the government is attempting to impose provisions aligned with the Hindu Succession Act on Muslims, raising concerns over issues such as divorce, maintenance, alimony, and succession. He questioned the inclusion of certain legal requirements and argued that they conflict with Islamic beliefs and traditions.
